Revved Up would like to present to you one of our first athletes to become our member of the month!! We chose a guy and a gal to start this off! Our gentleman will be announced next week!
Here's a little bit of info about her and why she does Crossfit.
CONGRATULATIONS DESI!!
I am currently a full time student at the University of Charleston’s Athletic Training program. I enjoy going to church on a regular basis, WVU football and movies.
What is your most memorable Crossfit experience?
Definitely when I first started coming and was extremely tired, but still had some running to do. One of the amazing people I call my friend now from the 5:30 AM class ran with me! Even though they were already done with the workout.
Why did you decide to try Crossfit?
I did the Putnam County Young Life W.O.D. for God and loved it!
What has been your biggest challenge or improvement?
The biggest challenge and improvement has been the knees to chest exercise. I couldn’t even hang on the bar to do one before, now I can pump out 7 or 8 at a time!
What is your favorite workout?
Hard question! Whole workout would have to be the card game, but individual exercises would be bench press, deadlift, and back squat.
What advice would you give to a new member?
Just try it! It may seem scary at first but the people here are welcoming and can help you modify any workout
